Educational Grant Program
Friends of Trees provides grants to support teachers and non-profit organizations interested in undertaking educational efforts related to the science and value of trees. Grants are awarded for projects that promote education, research and public awareness of the value of trees; promote sound ecological horticultural practices; or other projects consistent with Friends of Trees’ mission.
Friends of Trees grant funds may be used for teacher training and student education; transportation for field trips; speaker honorarium; and materials related to the educational purpose of the grant program. Projects that directly benefit the Chatham community will receive preference, with priority given to programs benefiting students of the Monomoy elementary and middle schools including the Lighthouse Charter School.
Friends of Trees will accept grant applications throughout the year, and each grant will be considered on its merits. Contact us for more information.
